This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement Ball’s global payroll operations strategy.
• Ensure payroll services are accurate, compliant, and efficient across all regions.
• Create governance frameworks and manage compliance risks associated with payroll.
• Design strategic roadmaps with measurable outcomes for payroll efficiency.
• Collaborate with Legal, Audit, and Compliance to enhance controls.
• Standardize global payroll processes through automation, AI, and self-service tools.
• Lead the consolidation of payroll platforms and services.
• Ensure timely resolution of payroll issues, employee support, and adherence to consistent payroll practices.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing processing times and errors.
• Utilize data analytics to monitor performance and enhance payroll services.
• Oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation.
• Build and cultivate a high-performing payroll team.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for performance assessment.
• Provide training, coaching, and career development opportunities.
• Advise stakeholders and communicate insights on payroll trends, challenges, and achievements.
• Align payroll processes with business operations, compliance requirements, policies, and cost controls.
• Manage the payroll function budget and perform cost analysis.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and implement strategies for cost savings.
• Report to the VP, Global Business Services, and collaborate with the Director, Global Process and Technology Owner.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in global payroll management, workforce administration, or shared services leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of global labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll governance frameworks.
• Experience in managing global payroll teams, vendors, and compliance within a matrixed organization.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive payroll transformation while optimizing payroll operations.
• Extensive understanding of global payroll operations, governance, service delivery models, and payroll compliance across various countries and regions.
• Strong familiarity with payroll legislation, employment taxation, statutory reporting, internal controls, audit requirements, and risk management principles.
• Thorough comprehension of payroll processes and their integration with HR, Time & Attendance, Finance, Benefits, Equity, and related workforce management functions.
• Knowledgeable about global business services operating models, vendor management, service governance, and methodologies for continuous improvement.
• Insight into organizational change, business transformation, and emerging trends in payroll, workforce, and regulatory compliance.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not offered.
