This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Oversee the strategic design and ongoing development of MDIF’s Amplify incubation and accelerator framework.
• Supervise comprehensive cohort operations, encompassing sourcing, selection, programming, mentoring, and milestone tracking across various regional cohorts.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to a geographically dispersed Amplify team.
• Assist cohort companies in achieving investment readiness in collaboration with MDIF’s investment team.
• Collaborate on financial and business-model assessments.
• Establish and nurture connections with innovation hubs, media labs, and venture-support networks in operational regions.
• Oversee global monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for the Amplify portfolio, which includes reporting for donors.
• Travel internationally to Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, and Latin America at least once each year per program region.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in venture support, startup incubation, accelerator leadership, or media innovation.
• At least 3 to 5 years in a senior management or leadership position, with direct responsibility for program outcomes and team performance.
• Proven track record in designing or managing incubator, accelerator, or venture-support initiatives.
• Experience in developing, leading, and managing distributed teams across multiple countries.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication, and relationship-building abilities in diverse cultural contexts.
• Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments while balancing editorial independence with commercial and developmental goals.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of additional international languages is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; demonstrated expertise may be considered in place of formal academic qualifications.
• Familiarity with financial modeling, business-model development, and investment-readiness strategies for early-stage organizations.
• Current and practical understanding of the global media landscape, including digital transformation, AI integration, audience growth, and sustainable revenue models.
• Capability to obtain necessary international travel visas.
• Applications must be submitted in English.
• International travel to each program region at least once annually.
• Flexibility to accommodate a considerable travel schedule.
