Director, Global AI Security – CISO Initiatives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement the strategy, roadmap, priorities, and annual objectives set by the CISO.

• Convert strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, milestones, responsibilities, and results.

• Recognize dependencies, risks, resource limitations, and execution deficiencies within the security portfolio.

• Direct high-priority initiatives and special projects for the CISO across various organizational and functional domains.

• Harmonize Information Security priorities with business goals, transformation agendas, risk tolerance, and IT strategies.

• Create and oversee the operational rhythm of the Office of the CISO, including leadership meetings, strategy discussions, business evaluations, planning cycles, and executive briefings.

• Prepare agendas, decision-making materials, action logs, and follow-up processes.

• Compile briefings for the CISO for executive meetings, Board and committee interactions, regulatory conversations, and business assessments.

• Manage the flow of information to and from the CISO’s office.

• Provide insights into security expenditures, resource distribution, vendor commitments, and business impacts.

• Oversee the overall Information Security budget, including monthly financial evaluations and forecasting.

• Assist in managing the portfolio across security programs, projects, services, and technological investments.

• Assess investment proposals and allocate resources towards priority risks and strategic goals.

• Establish and track KPIs, KRIs, strategic outcomes, and measures of program health.

• Create decision-driven cybersecurity presentations and communications.

• Monitor the progress of the roadmap and facilitate necessary corrective actions.

• Encourage consistent prioritization, decision-making, and accountability practices.

• Coordinate Information Security support for the Quantum Leap AI program and enterprise transformation efforts.

• Integrate cybersecurity considerations into AI initiatives from the beginning.

• Monitor security commitments and dependencies associated with AI adoption and emerging technologies.

• Assess information security capabilities and market options to uncover AI and automation opportunities for detection, prevention, analysis, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business administration, risk management, or a related area, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least eight years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, technology, security strategy and execution, or a related field.

• Proven experience in supporting senior executives and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within a large global organization.

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity strategy, governance, and standard security operating models.

• Capability to convert complex technical and risk-related information into clear business implications and executive-level communications.

• Experience in strategic planning, performance management, financial planning, portfolio management, or organizational operations.

• Outstanding written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical judgment, organizational discipline, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities, navigate uncertainty, and produce high-quality work under tight timelines.

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.

• Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude.

• Experience in managing highly confidential information.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in business administration, cybersecurity, information systems, or a related field.

• Preferred: Experience in a global consumer products, manufacturing, retail, or similarly complex multinational organization.

• Preferred: Experience in developing materials for Boards of Directors, executive committees, auditors, or regulators.

• Preferred: Previous experience in cybersecurity strategy, transformation, or security leadership.
