This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform a swift evaluation of the existing Fincrime operational landscape.
• Develop and execute standard operating procedures for alert triage, investigation summaries, regulatory reporting, and queue management.
• Create escalation paths, handoff protocols, coverage models, governance cadence, and operational infrastructure.
• Establish targets for queue health, SLAs, backlog thresholds, productivity metrics, and capacity models.
• Implement real-time monitoring dashboards for queues and spearhead productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Take ownership of the Fincrime case management platform and outline its product roadmap in collaboration with Product.
• Ensure comprehensive, auditable records of analyst decisions and maintain high data quality.
• Define and uphold standards for data entry and workflow discipline.
• Design and manage the quality control and quality assurance framework, covering scoring, sampling, CAPA, and reporting.
• Set baseline error rates and improvement targets across various control types.
• Guarantee leadership coverage across active time zones through structured shifts, handoffs, and asynchronous communication.
• Provide escalations and make critical decisions beyond regular business hours as necessary.
• Maintain queue health for TM alerts, screening hits, CRR reviews, and the SAR pipeline.
• Report on operational performance monthly to the Sr. Director and compliance stakeholders.
• Act as the principal operational representative in the biweekly Fincrime Product Review.
• Collaborate with Compliance on quality insights, readiness for regulatory examinations, and control attestation.
• Supervise direct reports and work closely with Product, Operations, and Compliance in a globally distributed team.
• Over 5 years of experience in operations management within a fast-growing fintech or regulated financial setting.
• Proven history of constructing operational foundations, including quality control frameworks and SOPs, from inception.
• Demonstrated success in identifying gaps or enhancements and driving their implementation.
• Direct experience in influencing internal tools to enhance efficiency.
• Experience in managing globally distributed teams across various time zones.
• Strong understanding of AML controls, including customer risk rating, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and fraud detection.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic abilities for assessing operational health and prioritizing high-impact solutions.
• Clear and structured communication skills to align leadership across Product, Operations, and Compliance.
• Proficient in data analysis, capable of establishing essential metrics, and deriving actionable insights from complex quality and operational datasets.
• An inquisitive nature regarding AI and its applications in analysis, processes, and communications.
• Practical experience in utilizing AI tools.
• Strong AI literacy, encompassing prompting, evaluating AI outputs, and an understanding of the limitations of AI.
• Awareness of ethical and responsible AI usage, particularly concerning sensitive data, customer experience, and compliance.
