This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the vision, strategy, and implementation for a specified portfolio within NMSI’s fee-for-service district partnership team.
• Propel revenue growth, enhance portfolio performance, advance the pipeline, develop proposals, respond to RFPs, provide contracting support, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Establish and nurture high-value partnerships with K-12 school districts and state departments of education.
• Formulate the portfolio's vision, strategy, priorities, success metrics, market focus, prospecting strategies, and practices for continuous improvement.
• Lead the cultivation, solicitation, negotiation, and stewardship of assigned district partners, prospects, and state education agency accounts.
• Create proposals and RFP responses, which encompass solution design, narrative strategy, pricing and budget alignment, scope development, compliance requirements, and inputs from various functions.
• Manage relationship plans, activity tracking, opportunity staging, forecasting inputs, and ensure data quality in Salesforce.
• Prepare and collaborate with executives and subject matter experts for high-stakes engagements.
• Accompany executives and subject matter experts in external meetings, facilitate coordinated follow-up, and maintain a polished strategic presence.
• Define portfolio priorities, responsibilities, success measures, and decision-making points.
• Coordinate efforts across teams, ensure alignment, and drive follow-through without direct supervisory authority.
• Identify insights within the portfolio, recommend improvements in sales processes and partnerships, and uphold standards in relationship management, proposal quality, and data discipline.
• Proactively address challenges and opportunities, providing clear updates to enable timely decision-making.
• Ensure commitments to the portfolio are met, and reinforce standards of execution and collaboration.
• Report directly to the Senior Director, District Partnerships.
• Travel up to 50% for in-person meetings with districts and state education agencies, as well as conferences, convenings, and organizational events.
• A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in K-12 district partnerships, education sales, business development, or a similar revenue-generating role.
• Proven track record in securing and managing significant fee-for-service partnerships with school districts and/or state education agencies.
• Capacity to lead through influence and coordinate cross-functional efforts without direct supervisory authority.
• Ability to clarify expectations, make informed decisions, and cultivate trust, ownership, feedback, and outcomes.
• Proficient in crafting clear and compelling proposals and RFP responses.
• Skill in synthesizing complex program, financial, and implementation data.
• Ability to align solutions with district needs and coordinate inputs from various functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to tailor messages for district leaders, executives, program staff, and external partners.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and other tools for business development.
• Ability to maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and data accuracy.
• Skill in anticipating challenges and opportunities while navigating complex district, state education agency, and market dynamics.
• Proficient at translating portfolio strategy into measurable revenue growth.
• Demonstrates adaptability, curiosity, creativity, resilience, and receptiveness to feedback.
• Capacity to build strong partnerships and promote an inclusive, collaborative environment.

• Capability to engage in virtual and occasional in-person meetings.
• Willingness to travel overnight as necessary.
• Must successfully pass county, state, and federal criminal background checks.
