This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Oversee the ASME Foundation's annual giving initiative and implement a long-term fundraising strategy.
• Enhance annual contributions through acquisition, retention, upgrades, recognition, engagement, and stewardship methods.
• Implement multi-channel campaigns utilizing digital, recurring, workplace, peer-to-peer, and emerging giving platforms.
• Collaborate with Customer Experience, Marketing, Strategic Communications, consultants, and vendors to leverage donor insights and craft donor-focused impact narratives.
• Manage a portfolio of no more than ten major gift donors capable of contributing $10,000 or more.
• Prepare donor briefings, proposals, gift agreements, and pipeline documentation.
• Involve Board members, executive leadership, and volunteers in major gift initiatives.
• Spearhead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate and foundation funders.
• Expand the Foundation's legacy and planned giving initiatives.
• Conduct prospect research and develop pipelines across individual, corporate, and foundation demographics.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of donor and prospect records in Salesforce and utilize analytics and moves management for cultivation, forecasting, and pipeline health.
• Establish and track annual giving objectives, KPIs, and pipeline metrics to meet the $1.35 million annual fundraising goal.
• Assist in revenue forecasting and reporting.
• Supervise the Donor Relations Coordinator and Program Coordinator.
• Collaborate across ASME to support enterprise engagement events and strategic initiatives.
• Represent the Foundation to donors, partners, and volunteers.
• Ensure adherence to ethical fundraising standards and organizational policies.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field.
• 7 to 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising or development.
• Proven track record of meeting or surpassing ambitious revenue goals.
• Demonstrated success in securing annual, major, corporate, foundation, and planned contributions.
• Experience in managing donor portfolios for sustained growth.
• History of building strategic partnerships and relationships for institutional funding.
• Proven leadership skills in managing and inspiring staff, volunteers, nonprofit boards, and executive stakeholders.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Extensive knowledge in donor cultivation, moves management, and planned giving strategies.
• Proficiency in prospect research and wealth screening tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, donor databases, and fundraising analytics.
• Strong strategic, project management, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
• High emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, integrity, initiative, creativity, and discretion with confidential matters.
• Collaborative leadership approach and a passion for promoting education, workforce development, and innovation in engineering.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Advanced degree or CFRE credential is preferred.
• Remote work arrangement.
• Periodic business travel, including visits to ASME offices worldwide.
