This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Contribute to the strategy, design, and roadmap for Parexel's lakehouse architecture based on medallion principles.
• Direct engineering activities encompassing data ingestion, transformation, storage, and optimization within the Enterprise Data Lake.
• Oversee the performance, quality, reliability, security, and lifecycle management of data.
• Ensure the scalability of engineering pipelines across data domains in alignment with governance requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert in data delivery.
• Align data products and services with the priorities of the organization.
• Lead cross-functional prioritization and delivery processes.
• Advocate for transparency and communication regarding data technology roadmaps.
• Build, mentor, and manage global data engineering teams.
• Promote capability development in cloud engineering, Databricks, CI/CD, SQL, and Python.
• Foster innovation, operational rigor, and customer-focused delivery.
• Over 12 years of IT experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise integration services and platforms across various hardware and software environments.
• Significant expertise in emerging computing architectures.
• Familiarity with Real World Data in the clinical/medical domain.
• Experience with GxP regulations in a life sciences context is advantageous.
• More than 8 years of experience leading teams in data delivery management and execution, including major projects in data management, integration, and analytics.
• At least 6 years of management experience.
• Experience in developing and implementing applications in new computing architecture environments using innovative technologies.
• Proven ability to manage technical personnel across multiple project lifecycle phases with cross-functional experience.
• Experience in managing financial resources across various projects.
• Proven capability in developing effective solutions to complex business challenges.
• Extensive experience in implementing and supporting enterprise data initiatives on cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated expertise in data and cloud platforms, particularly Azure Databricks.
• Considerable experience with medallion architecture-based data lake implementations.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL querying and query tuning (mandatory).
• Proficiency in modern data management and data-sharing tools, programming languages, particularly Python, relational databases, data transformation, and development frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of architectural best practices, application design, and estimation processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of application architectures and enterprise application ecosystems.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (required).
