This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and expand VAST’s Corporate Development function from inception, creating processes for deal sourcing and execution.
• Actively identify, assess, and implement strategic investments and M&A opportunities that align with VAST’s long-term objectives.
• Perform comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to guide corporate strategy and evaluate opportunities.
• Cultivate and sustain a thorough understanding of relevant products, technologies, and market dynamics.
• Oversee the entire deal process, which includes due diligence, financial modeling, negotiations, and integration planning.
• Build and strengthen relationships with venture capitalists, investment bankers, and potential targets.
• Lead and execute strategic, cross-functional, complex, and/or sensitive special projects.
• Carry out continuous financial benchmarking against competitors and industry standards to inform strategy, planning, and positioning.
• Assist in Investor Relations activities, such as crafting narratives, developing materials, communicating with investors, preparing for conferences, and fundraising efforts.
• Foster and sustain collaborative working relationships throughout the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
• Over 8 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or VC/PE, with a significant emphasis on technology M&A and strategic growth.
• Exceptional modeling capabilities and experience with complex businesses in fast-paced, dynamic markets.
• Proficient in relevant tools, including AI applications, Excel, and Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in preparing, presenting, and engaging with executives, investors, and sophisticated business audiences.
• Strong ability to tell stories with data.
• Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and deep intellectual curiosity.
