This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Establish and expand VAST’s Corporate Development function from scratch, creating processes for deal sourcing and execution.
• Actively source, assess, and execute strategic investments and M&A opportunities that align with VAST’s long-term goals.
• Perform market research and competitive analysis to shape corporate strategy and evaluate opportunities.
• Cultivate and maintain a profound understanding of pertinent products, technologies, and markets.
• Oversee the complete deal process, including due diligence, financial modeling, negotiations, and integration planning.
• Build and enhance relationships with venture capitalists, investment bankers, and potential acquisition targets.
• Lead strategic, cross-functional, complex, and/or sensitive special projects.
• Execute ongoing financial benchmarking against peers and the industry to guide strategy, planning, and positioning.
• Assist in Investor Relations activities, including crafting narratives, developing materials, communicating with investors, preparing for conferences, and fundraising efforts.
• Foster and maintain close collaborative relationships throughout the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
• 8+ years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or VC/PE, with a strong emphasis on tech M&A and strategic growth.
• Exceptional financial modeling capabilities and experience with complex businesses in fast-paced, dynamic markets.
• Proficiency in relevant tools, including AI tools, Excel, and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Tableau, SFDC, and NetSuite is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, with a background in preparing, presenting, and engaging with executives, investors, and sophisticated business audiences.
• Strong ability to tell a story through data.
