📋 Description

• Take the lead independently in strategizing and executing global and U.S. communications for designated cardiovascular initiatives, including Repatha and the launch readiness for olpasiran.

• Create integrated, insight-driven plans that align scientific, business, and reputation objectives across earned media, digital and social channels, advocacy, executive, and limited internal communications.

• Act as a strategic communications advisor to business partners, offering judgment and recommendations regarding opportunities, risks, and stakeholder engagement.

• Manage the day-to-day leadership of the portfolio, prioritizing deliverables while keeping a focus on strategic objectives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Commercial, Medical, Value & Access, Government Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Investor Relations, and Corporate Affairs.

• Convert complex clinical, scientific, and business information into communications relevant to audiences such as patients, healthcare professionals, media, advocacy organizations, employees, and other stakeholders.

• Leverage data, analytics, social listening, and audience insights to refine strategy, enhance execution, and illustrate impact.

• Anticipate emerging issues and changes in the external environment, providing timely communications recommendations.

• Guide agency partners with clear direction, uphold high standards, and ensure accountability for outcomes.

• Discover opportunities to utilize AI and other digital tools to enhance the work process.


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 4 years of communications or public relations experience, or a Master’s degree with 7 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience in communications or public relations.

• A minimum of ten years of experience in communications, public relations, corporate affairs, or a related field.

• Significant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare communications, acquired at a peer company or a healthcare communications agency.

• Proven history of independently managing complex, high-visibility communications projects within a matrixed environment.

• Capability to manage daily communications confidently, exercise sound judgment under pressure, and quickly mobilize teams in response to priority or evolving needs.

• Strong strategic advisory skills, critical thinking abilities, and executive presence.

• Ability to make clear recommendations in situations of ambiguity and competing priorities.

• Demonstrated proficiency in translating complex scientific, clinical, and business information into clear, persuasive communications for diverse audiences.

• Excellent skills across integrated communications, including earned media, digital and social media, advocacy, internal and executive communications, and issues management.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Preferred: Experience in cardiovascular disease communications with a robust understanding of the patient journey, clinical data, and stakeholder landscape.

• Preferred: Experience in leading global and U.S. communications in collaboration with commercial, medical, and access teams.

• Preferred: Experience in utilizing data, analytics, and audience insights to guide communications strategies and measure impact.

• Preferred: Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to finding innovative ways to achieve results.
