This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Establish and nurture relationships with some of the largest health systems in the region.
• Create and implement strategic growth initiatives within 3–4 designated health systems.
• Act as the strategic lead for assigned health systems, coordinating internal teams around customer priorities and medical segment opportunities.
• Collaborate with healthcare leaders to gain insights into organizational priorities and align Cardinal Health solutions to meet their objectives.
• Identify and promote strategic opportunities across medical products, distribution, and value-added services.
• Oversee complex sales processes, contract negotiations, and company-wide initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans that enhance customer partnerships and foster mutual success.
• Facilitate executive business reviews and act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary contact for problem-solving, addressing issues, and identifying opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Clinical, Operations, Contracting, Marketing, Product Management, and other business partners.
• Drive execution through collaboration and influence in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
• Cultivate partnerships with Acute Care, Non-Acute Care, Specialty, and Field Sales teams.
• Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and market dynamics to highlight opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
• Represent the voice of the customer internally to help shape solutions and strategies that enhance operational efficiency, resiliency, and patient care.
• Adhere to travel policies, credentialing requirements, and company procedures.
• Perform additional job-related duties as necessary to achieve sales goals and objectives.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, or health system sales within healthcare, medical products, healthcare services, supply chain, or related fields is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex large customer relationships and enterprise-level sales opportunities.
• Experience interacting with senior healthcare leaders, including those in supply chain, procurement, finance, and executive roles.
• Ability to resolve complex customer challenges, create innovative solutions, and manage ambiguity.
• Proven capability to lead through influence, foster alignment, and achieve results across cross-functional teams.
• Strong collaboration abilities with experience working across various commercial and operational functions in a matrixed organizational structure.
• Understanding of healthcare supply chain, distribution, healthcare services, or healthcare technology solutions.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial metrics, evaluating business opportunities, and crafting solutions that enhance profitability, customer value, and strategic growth.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Capacity to navigate complex stakeholder environments while balancing customer needs and internal priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the assigned region.
• Must reside within or near the designated territory and have access to a major airport.
• Ability to work effectively from a remote home office or in the field.
• Customer/Vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations).
