This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee a strategically aligned federal business development pipeline that supports health, readiness, and workforce support mission areas.
• Guide assigned opportunities from the initial identification stage through to qualification.
• Collaborate with capture management to evaluate opportunity fit, strategize, and outline next steps.
• Analyze client requirements, market trends, and competitive dynamics to position Magellan Federal for sustainable growth.
• Work closely with internal functional teams to create qualification artifacts and assist in capture and proposal efforts.
• Foster relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and industry partners.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced business development personnel.
• Formulate and implement federal account and opportunity strategies that align with strategic objectives, capabilities, client needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
• Manage opportunities in accordance with standard operating procedures, including identification, qualification, documentation, and lifecycle tracking.
• Develop and present Identification and Qualification gate reviews, incorporating insights on clients, technical aspects, competition, teaming, pricing, and risks.
• Assist capture and proposal managers with solution development, teaming strategies, pricing methods, and proposal content.
• Promote continuous improvement, audits, and compliance in business development tools and processes.
• Over 8 years of business development experience in federal programs, including health, readiness, workforce support, and behavioral health.
• A Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
• Familiarity with federal acquisition processes is essential.
• Experience in engaging with stakeholders from federal civilian and defense agencies.
• Capability to develop and implement account and opportunity strategies that align with organizational competencies, client needs, market trends, and revenue objectives.
• Ability to spearhead opportunity identification and qualification activities while producing decision-ready gate review materials.
• Skill in collaborating with internal teams, consultants, industry partners, and client stakeholders.
• Proven experience in creating and delivering executive-level presentations regarding account strategy, opportunities, pipeline, and execution.
• A history of meeting or exceeding business development performance targets, particularly revenue growth goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Must adhere to position-specific security responsibilities, security controls, and comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, and internal policy requirements.
