This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Create and implement a national business development strategy focused on biologics, biomarkers, molecular and cellular bioanalysis, and new therapeutic modalities.
β’ Discover, assess, and secure new business prospects with biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms.
β’ Cultivate relationships with scientific and executive decision-makers.
β’ Develop opportunities within sponsors conducting patient-centric clinical trials, particularly in oncology and other specialized therapeutic areas.
β’ Establish and maintain a national pipeline of opportunities aimed at acquiring new clients.
β’ Act as a technical commercial resource for bioanalytical strategies, assay technologies, biomarkers, ligand binding assays, immunogenicity, molecular assays, flow cytometry, PCR, cell-based assays, and advanced bioanalytical capabilities.
β’ Collaborate with scientific leadership to create client-specific solutions.
β’ Represent Celerion at scientific meetings, partnering conferences, and industry events.
β’ Stay informed about emerging therapeutic modalities, regulatory trends, and competitive offerings.
β’ Support the commercialization of enhanced biologics and biomarker capabilities.
β’ Propel business growth in support of the Phoenix and Lincoln bioanalytical laboratories.
β’ Identify new market opportunities and deliver competitive intelligence.
β’ Work with Marketing on strategic growth initiatives.
β’ Coordinate customer engagement and account ownership with regional Business Development representatives.
β’ Collaborate with Operations, Scientific Affairs, Proposal Development, Contracts, and Executive Leadership.
β’ Maintain sales forecasts and manage opportunities through CRM.
β’ Formulate strategic account plans.
β’ Lead client meetings, scientific discussions, proposal strategies, and contract negotiations.
β’ Ensure an outstanding customer experience throughout the sales process.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related scientific field is required.
β’ An advanced scientific degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical or CRO business development.
β’ Proven success in selling biologics, biomarkers, bioanalytical services, translational medicine, or related laboratory services.
β’ Strong knowledge of large molecule bioanalysis, including ligand binding assays, immunogenicity, biomarkers, molecular assays, flow cytometry, PCR, and emerging therapeutic modalities.
β’ Established network within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
β’ Proven ability to consistently generate new business through prospecting and relationship building.
β’ Experience in selling consultative scientific services to technical decision-makers.
β’ Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively within complex matrix organizations.
β’ Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently.
β’ Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States (approximately 50β70%).
β’ Strong preference for candidates with established relationships in West Coast and Northeast biotechnology markets.
