This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Meet the designated portion of the AAT annual revenue target while adhering to margin expectations.
• Create and implement strategic business development strategies and expansion initiatives.
• Provide bi-weekly forecasts of financial opportunities for assigned accounts, including the likelihood of closing.
• Discover and evaluate new business opportunities as well as emerging industry trends.
• Facilitate detailed scientific and technical discussions with biopharma decision-makers in purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and research departments.
• Act as a customer advocate to influence business strategies and technical platform decisions.
• Lead cross-functional projects that have a considerable impact on the organization.
• Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, industry partners, and strategic customers.
• Negotiate contracts and renewal agreements.
• Provide mentorship and support throughout the organization.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, scientific gatherings, and customer interactions.
• Record all activities in sf.com on a weekly basis.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities, formulate growth strategies, and steer business direction in the life sciences and biopharmaceutical sectors.
• Collaborate closely with Commercial, technical SMEs, marketing, Operations, and project management.
• Function as a trusted advisor to the AVP of Business Development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the CDMO industry/partnership; 5 years is preferred.
• Established network with decision-makers in the pharmaceutical sector (mandatory).
• Profound commercial expertise.
• Extensive technical and scientific understanding.
• Demonstrated track record of driving business development and sales, fostering commercial growth, and managing complex initiatives in the biopharmaceutical and complex chemistry sectors.
• Capability to lead intricate scientific and technical discussions with biopharma decision-makers.
• Willingness and ability to travel 35% of the time.
