This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +8 more states.
• Join Connexus Credit Union as the Director of Brand Experience and contribute to shaping the marketing strategies that foster growth, enhance member relationships, and bolster our market presence.
• This position entails the development and execution of large-scale national brand, advertising, and integrated marketing strategies aimed at supporting member acquisition, loan and deposit growth, and achieving measurable business outcomes.
• You will lead a high-performing team of creative and marketing specialists, utilizing data, personalization, and ROI-focused decision-making to create impactful member experiences.
• Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, you will be instrumental in advancing strategic priorities through innovative campaigns, effective team leadership, and marketing excellence.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of a national brand and advertising strategy, ensuring alignment with Connexus's growth objectives (loan, deposit, and member acquisition targets).
• Clearly articulate how brand and campaign initiatives translate into measurable progress against strategic goals, including revenue, acquisition, and engagement metrics.
• Establish and uphold a disciplined ROI framework for all brand and marketing investments, covering media, creative, and campaign performance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to refine Connexus’ Unique Value Proposition (UVP) and ensure it is consistently marketed across all channels.
• Direct and supervise comprehensive brand activities, including teams responsible for content strategy and copywriting, graphic design and visual identity, multimedia and video production, digital marketing, and both paid and organic advertising, along with production and project management.
• Provide leadership and manage workflows across brand strategy and execution, editorial direction and storytelling, creative design and campaign development, as well as campaign/collateral production, scheduling, and distribution.
• Propel the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies across email, social media, web, and advertising channels, ensuring a consistent and distinctive brand voice.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies and promotions that support growth in loans, deposits, and non-interest income throughout the entire acquisition funnel.
• Lead initiatives focused on personalization, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing to deliver more relevant and targeted member experiences.
• Convert behavioral, transactional, and engagement data into actionable segmentation strategies that enhance member lifetime value.
• Oversee the analysis of campaign performance, member behavior, and channel effectiveness.
• Promote a culture of testing and learning (A/B testing, optimization cycles) to continuously improve outcomes.
• Hold the team accountable to defined performance metrics, including cost per acquisition (CPA), conversion rates, campaign ROI, member growth, and product per member.
• Regularly communicate performance insights and outcomes to the SVP of Marketing in a clear, data-driven manner.
• Establish transparent processes, prioritization frameworks, and workflows that enhance team efficiency, scalability, and strategic focus.
• Act as a change agent, assisting the team in adapting to new marketing technologies, capabilities, and operational methods.
• Manage budget allocation, agency partnerships, and internal resources to maximize impact, efficiency, and creative output.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging marketing practices.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Previous experience in a financial institution, such as a bank or credit union, is required.
• 8+ years of experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, or Communications is required.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience with a proven track record in budget management and overseeing the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, training, development, supervision, and performance management is required.
• 5+ years of professional experience showcasing strong conceptual, written, and verbal communication skills is required.
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing the creative development, design, and production of marketing materials that align with brand standards and business objectives is required.
• Prior experience utilizing brand management and project management tools, such as Jira, Trello, and Meltwater, is required.
• Experience working with databases and CRM platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud and HubSpot, is required.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office products, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Processing is required.
