This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the strategic direction and performance of a business office serving multiple clients and facilities across various states.
• Oversee the implementation of billing, customer service, collections, and reimbursement initiatives.
• Manage and supervise staff, including subordinate leadership and remote employees.
• Ensure exceptional productivity and accuracy are achieved and maintained.
• Prepare and manage relevant budgets while adhering to financial guidelines.
• Supervise centralized billing, collections, and reimbursement processes to ensure standardization, compliance, and adherence to regulations.
• Provide operational leadership to designated sites and business operations.
• Address site-related matters in collaboration with Human Resources and Legal departments.
• Work together on the design, development, monitoring, and establishment of policies and procedures.
• Manage changes in operational processes, metrics, staffing, and employee relations.
• Develop tactical strategies and operational budgets aligned with organizational goals.
• Recruit, train, and mentor Managers, Supervisors, Analysts, and other personnel.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and recruitment to uphold policies and staffing requirements.
• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets, providing reports and justifying any variances.
• Directly supervise Managers, while overseeing Supervisors and AR Staff indirectly.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare accounts receivable, collections, insurance, government programs, and appeals, including compliance regulations and guidelines.
• In-depth understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and/or hospital-based revenue cycle operations.
• Familiarity with Health Information Management, Patient Access, Clinical Quality/Case Management, Management Information Systems, Accounting, and Finance.
• Capability to develop and clearly articulate strategic and tactical plans.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Health Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of experience managing a multi-facility healthcare business office or financial services call center.
• CPAM or CFHP certification is preferred.
• MBA is preferred.
• Required to obtain and provide confirmation of necessary vaccinations and screenings, as applicable and permitted by law.
• Must be capable of working while seated, using a computer, and answering the telephone.
• Annual Incentive Plan bonus ranging from 10%-25% based on role level.
