This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance and maintain the quality and integrity of AP Chinese Language and Culture exams, course curriculum, and professional development materials.
• Oversee the development and scoring processes for AP Chinese Language and Culture assessments.
• Create, revise, manage, and evaluate formative and summative assessment content and scoring resources.
• Provide training for educator contributors and reviewers, and supervise members of the Test Development Committee.
• Engage in recruiting educators for development committees and other opportunities within the AP Program.
• Facilitate in-person, weekend, and virtual meetings for the Test Development Committee.
• Direct annual on-site and online AP Reading events, in addition to producing related publications.
• Ethically incorporate AI-assisted tools into the assessment creation and review processes.
• Monitor the validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader consistency of exams.
• Collaborate with psychometricians to determine fair, reliable, and valid cut scores.
• Refine the AP Chinese Language and Culture Framework and its learning outcomes.
• Collaborate on new product development, prototypes, market testing, and instructional resources.
• Assist AP consultants and educators through the Professional Learning team.
• Increase awareness among colleges and universities regarding the AP Chinese Language and Culture courses and exams.
• Recruit college faculty for AP Reading and support the AP Faculty Colloquia and Visiting and Virtual Fellows Programs.
• Present, speak, and engage in dialogue with academic and membership audiences as required.
• A Master’s degree in Chinese Language or a closely related field (required).
• Awareness of current trends in Chinese Language or a related discipline.
• Native to near-native proficiency in Chinese.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in standardized assessment development or a similar role.
• Specialized knowledge in Chinese Language.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong technical skills combined with a customer-oriented approach.
• Exceptional organizational and planning capabilities.
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks while paying close attention to detail, including proofreading.
• Ability to implement processes and procedures, manage project plans and timelines, and maintain documentation for tracking.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Proficient in engaging constructively across all levels of organization.
• Willingness to travel 6–8 times a year, plus an additional two weeks for the AP Reading.
• Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States.
• An inquisitive nature and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, particularly AI-driven solutions.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
