Director, Animal Safety Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the manufacturing strategy for Animal Safety, converting business objectives into actionable operational plans, performance expectations, and accountability frameworks throughout the network.

• Oversee operational excellence across safety, quality, service, delivery, productivity, cost management, inventory, and working capital.

• Enhance standardized operational systems and management practices.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives utilizing practical Lean manufacturing methodologies, structured performance management, root-cause analysis, and scalable process enhancements.

• Direct long-term capacity planning, manufacturing footprint strategy, capital investments, network optimization, business continuity, and operational readiness efforts.

• Cultivate leadership capabilities by mentoring site and functional leaders, implementing succession plans, and promoting a culture centered on safety, ownership, employee engagement, and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Technical Operations, EHS, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Commercial, and Finance to address constraints and further strategic objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Natural Science, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations leadership.

• Proven track record of leading across multiple functions and aligning diverse stakeholders towards common operational and business objectives.

• Established success in spearheading operational change initiatives, implementing improvement systems, and enhancing execution discipline within a manufacturing setting.

• Strong financial and business insight, including experience with operational budgeting, productivity initiatives, cost management, capital planning, and resource allocation.

• Proven ability to develop leaders and teams, establish effective operating routines, and foster an accountable, engaged, and safety-oriented workplace.
