Director, Advanced Practice Provider Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership, direction, and stewardship of resources to The US Oncology Network and its associated practices.

• Align objectives for Advanced Practice Providers (APP) with the vision and strategy of affiliated practices.

• Collaborate with Network practices, leadership, and McKesson/USON leadership to establish processes and procedures that ensure high-quality, comprehensive patient care.

• Lead the development of Network strategy to position APPs within innovative care models across various geographies, specialties, and care sites.

• Create and implement strategies to achieve Network goals through high-performing care teams, improved APP integration, and optimized APP care operations.

• Identify and execute operational and strategic initiatives to enhance support for Network practices.

• Implement care models that improve practice efficiency through the utilization of APPs.

• Pilot, scale, and assess new models that empower APPs to enhance operational efficiency and patient access.

• Lead cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for APP initiatives.

• Act as a subject matter expert on APP practice.

• Assist practices with recruitment and retention efforts.

• Analyze and apply best practices to standardize the utilization of APPs.

• Represent APP objectives in strategic planning sessions for the practice.

• Promote transparency, feedback, shared leadership, communication, and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.

• Support and engage in APP leadership opportunities, including mentorship.

• Lead and participate in educational initiatives for Network APPs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or equivalent, typically requiring over 10 years of relevant experience.

• Fewer years of experience may be acceptable if the candidate holds relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications.

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.

• National Board Certification and Licensure required.

• Over 10 years of professional experience as an APP.

• A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in oncology.

• Significant prior leadership experience in developing and implementing clinical and business models that support both providers and patients.

• A proven track record in building relationships with key business stakeholders.

• Strong working knowledge of APP utilization across multiple specialties.

• Proven experience in managing diverse oncology APP services projects and programs that yield positive patient outcomes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to lead teams through organizational changes and to implement new care models.

• Proficient in interpreting financial data, Return on Investment (ROI) models, and operational metrics.

• Capable of developing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

• Must be authorized to work in the US; sponsorship is not available.
