This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the digital director.

• Supervise product workflows from the initial discovery phase through to the delivery of planned projects and resolution of website and paywall issues.

• Manage development products in collaboration with editorial and business teams as well as external vendors.

• Facilitate daily and weekly stand-up meetings alongside the digital director and developers.

• Create, update, and organize Asana tickets to keep stakeholders informed of progress and identify potential development obstacles.

• Ensure that developers are aware of their priorities.

• Act as a liaison between the digital director and editorial and publishing stakeholders regarding product build status.

• Document the estimated and actual development hours for tickets on a monthly basis.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps for significant projects.

• Coordinate daily deployments.

• Document and report on daily site speed along with other optimization metrics.

• Report on the effectiveness of optimization initiatives implemented on the website.

• Uphold protocol standards for visual and editorial changes related to marketing, outreach, and engagement projects.

• Convey digital processes and progress in an understandable manner and clearly outline priorities to stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in project and/or product management is required.

• A background in media is preferred.

• Proven ability to explain technical issues to non-technical personnel.

• Proven ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects concurrently.

• Proven ability to enforce protocols across various departments and external vendors effectively.

• Proven ability to respond swiftly to technical inquiries from staff via Slack and Asana.

• Proven ability to create clear agendas for meetings.

• Expert proficiency in Asana.

• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Page Insights, and other analytical tools for web performance is essential.

• Ability to gather and interpret traffic analytics.

• Understanding of front-end and back-end development processes and execution.

• Must be capable of collaborating with editorial, publishing, business, and external vendor stakeholders.
