
Digital Farming Commercial Business Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
β’ Develop and uphold the digital farming commercial strategy for Australia and New Zealand.
β’ Create annual and seasonal business plans that encompass growth priorities, revenue forecasts, margin targets, and adoption goals.
β’ Evaluate market trends, competitor actions, customer requirements, and channel prospects to pinpoint growth priorities.
β’ Establish customer segments, value propositions, and offering structures for digital farming solutions.
β’ Monitor portfolio performance and suggest actions to enhance adoption, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
β’ Manage the commercial lifecycle of digital farming products and services, which includes launch, growth, maturity, and phase-out strategies.
β’ Lead SKU rationalization efforts and assist in minimizing slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
β’ Specify commercial readiness criteria for new products prior to market introduction.
β’ Oversee pricing, packaging, promotions, and market positioning.
β’ Collaborate with Technical Support and global product teams to guide roadmap priorities and product enhancements.
β’ Design and implement go-to-market strategies, including launch plans, sales tools, and channel communications.
β’ Assist sales teams with customer presentations, business cases, ROI narratives, proposal contributions, and solution positioning.
β’ Create commercial playbooks for sales and dealers.
β’ Aid strategic customer meetings requiring commercial framing, solution architecture, or investment justification.
β’ Manage commercial relationships with suppliers and partners in conjunction with Procurement, Operations, and Technical Support.
β’ Facilitate supplier negotiations by providing market insights, volume forecasts, commercial needs, and customer feedback.
β’ Cultivate relationships with industry associations, channel partners, and strategic customers.
β’ Coordinate with Sales, Agronomy, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Technical Support to eliminate commercial obstacles.
β’ Maintain reporting on pipeline, revenue, margin, adoption, SKU performance, and commercial risks.
β’ Prepare management updates regarding performance, priorities, key decisions, and required support.
β’ Promote process enhancements that simplify the selling, implementation, and support of digital farming.
β’ Ensure that commercial decisions enhance customer experience, long-term serviceability, and the reputation of the Netafim brand.
β’ Proven experience in commercial management, product management, business development, channel management, or digital solutions within agriculture, irrigation, technology, or related fields is essential.
β’ Experience in managing product portfolios or digital solutions, including go-to-market execution and lifecycle optimization, is essential.
β’ Demonstrated experience in developing and executing business plans aimed at driving revenue growth and market adoption is essential.
β’ Experience collaborating across sales, technical, operational, and marketing teams in a cross-functional organization is essential.
β’ Familiarity with digital farming, agronomy, precision agriculture, or agtech solutions is desirable.
β’ Experience operating within the Australia and New Zealand markets is desirable.
β’ A tertiary qualification in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field is desirable.
β’ Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, forecasting, margin management, business cases, and performance tracking.
β’ Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
β’ Proven expertise in product lifecycle management, including launch, portfolio optimization, and end-of-life planning.
β’ Capability to design and implement go-to-market strategies across sales, dealer, and customer channels.
β’ Ability to convert digital and technical solutions into clear customer value propositions.
β’ Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills in a matrix environment.
