Digital Archivist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Serve as an Associate Level Preservica Manager, responsible for ingesting and managing assets within the platform.

• Advance towards Expert level proficiency in Preservica.

• Conduct audits and quality control on content designated for Preservica.

• Organize collections for digital preservation efforts.

• Identify metadata requirements tailored to each collection.

• Provide customer support for staff, committee members, and the public.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree in Library and Information Science.

• Alternatively, be enrolled in an MLS program while possessing relevant work experience.

• 2–4 years of experience in digital asset management systems.

• Experience with Preservica is preferred.

• A strong background in other archival Digital Asset Management Systems is also valued.

• Exceptional attention to detail is essential.

• Capability to work independently is required.

• Familiarity with metadata schemas such as METS, DC, MODS, EAD, CDWAlite, PREMIS, EDM, MARCXML, and EAC-CPF is desired.

• Knowledge of description standards including DACS, MARC, DDC, LOC, and RDA is preferred.
