Diagnostics Technical Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Provide onsite assistance to veterinary clinics, laboratory research facilities, and academic veterinary environments.

• Aid in the implementation, training, operation, application, and troubleshooting for veterinary diagnostics products.

• Manage relationships with assigned clinics to enhance utilization, boost adoption, and reduce implementation duration.

• Identify, quantify, qualify, track, and assess clinic challenges.

• Facilitate, develop, design, and execute clinic workflow processes.

• Address onsite technical support requests by troubleshooting and resolving intricate system issues.

• Offer product guidance, instruction, and both formal and informal training presentations.

• Conduct post-sale product installation and validation, along with applications and operations training.

• Document daily activities and prepare detailed customer visit reports.

• Collaborate with the Area Business Manager and Diagnostic Solutions Consultant in a team-oriented customer service approach.

• Engage in purposeful conversations with customer DVMs and practice managers to complete the product suite in clinics.

• Identify and report opportunities for additional analyzers and new prospects through customer referrals.

• Travel up to 90% within NW Ohio, with occasional out-of-state travel for meetings and training.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical environment.

• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe.

• Familiarity with diagnostic products, instrumentation, and clinic operations.

• Analytical mindset and proven critical thinking abilities.

• Availability and willingness to travel up to 90% of the workweek within the designated territory.

• Ability to travel frequently to various locations within NW Ohio.

• Capability to accommodate customer visit requests.

• Ability to safely lift and transport 60 lbs.

• Typically available during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

• An Associate’s degree is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

• A valid Driver’s License, a clean driving record, and auto insurance are necessary.

• All applicants must possess or obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis.

• Basic knowledge of animal disease states is preferred.

• A degree from a Veterinary Technology Program is preferred.

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician status is preferred.
