Diabetes Sales Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the designated territory as a business to optimize sales performance

• Assess market trends and utilize available data to formulate, monitor, and refine sales objectives

• Increase sales and market share for test strips and other essential products

• Inform and persuade healthcare professionals to recommend Abbott meters to insulin-dependent patients

• Implement targeted patient initiation programs, including clinic days and various events

• Develop strategic sales plans for the territory and apply the selling model

• Recognize and pursue new sales opportunities

• Collaborate with representatives from Abbott Laboratories and members of the marketing team

• Commit to ongoing self-improvement regarding disease states, products, tools, and the business landscape

• Clearly and consistently communicate sales activities, follow-ups, and reports

• Adhere to administrative and project timelines

• Maintain assigned company equipment, records, and inventory

• Engage with high-prescribing physicians, diabetes educators, and pharmacies

• Report directly to the District Manager

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree along with experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales

• At least 3 years of sales experience

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Exceptional selling and interpersonal skills

• Capacity to develop and present innovative solutions

• Strong negotiation capabilities

• Solid business acumen

• Ability to establish and sustain the distribution of existing product lines in a highly competitive landscape

• Willingness and ability to travel 20% of the time
