DevSecOps Engineer – Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate SAST/DAST, dependency, container, and secrets scanning into CI/CD utilizing GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Strengthen infrastructure-as-code and configurations with Ansible on AWS, Azure, and OpenShift.

• Conduct ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scans.

• Monitor vulnerability remediation efforts and adhere to CISA BOD 22-01 timelines.

• Generate and sustain ATO evidence, encompassing SSP sections, POA&Ms, and control documentation.

• Verify security controls prior to release.

• Execute WASA and Fortify scans.

• Approve security release criteria.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in DevSecOps or cyber engineering on federal systems.

• Proficient in SAST/DAST, dependency, container, and secrets scanning within CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Experience in vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking utilizing ACAS/Nessus.

• Ansible hardening and STIG compliance experience on RHEL and OpenShift.

• Proven ability to produce ATO evidence, including SSP sections, POA&Ms, and control documentation.

• Security QA experience with Fortify and WASA scans, along with release security sign-off.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.

• One of the following: AWS or Azure Solutions Architect or Developer; ISC2 CISSP.

• Preferred: Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible.

• Security QA credentials: CISSP, CAP, or Security+.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential.
