DevSecOps, Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts to enhance security processes and workflows.

• Deploy and manage AWS resources utilizing Terraform, ensuring a secure and scalable infrastructure.

• Implement security solutions aimed at decreasing the mean time to detect and respond to threats.

• Optimize AWS Step Functions and Lambda for serverless automation workflows.

• Utilize AWS security services including IAM, Control Tower, KMS, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and EventBridge.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to incorporate security automation into CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance.

• Keep abreast of AWS best practices, security trends, and emerging technologies.

• Provide hands-on support for pipeline security, DevSecOps, CloudFormation, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, SIEM, CSPM, and vulnerability scanners.

• Operate autonomously with minimal supervision while guiding and collaborating with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 3+ years of professional experience in Python, Go, or a similar development language, with an emphasis on automation.

• 3+ years of practical experience with AWS technologies, especially security-focused services such as IAM, KMS, Control Tower, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and EventBridge.

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code using Terraform.

• Working knowledge of AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda for serverless architectures.

• Experience with SIEM, IPS, and vulnerability scanners.

• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently or within a team environment.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• High-performance mindset: resilience, emotional intelligence, and focus on agile delivery.

• Technologist DNA: a deep understanding of the distinction between coding and engineering.

• Advanced oral proficiency in English.

• Advanced Spanish language skills.

• AWS certification is preferred, such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Scalr, Harness, and Jenkins, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Knowledge of additional programming languages or scripting tools is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Alibaba Cloud or GCP is a plus.

• Understanding of cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants is desirable.
