This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of the Cloud Engineering function, defining its strategy, standards, and direction.
• Develop the internal developer portal and self-service platform, which includes service catalogs, golden paths, paved roads, and enhancing developer experience capabilities.
• Lead the creation of reusable CI/CD pipelines, templates, SDKs, and platform services through hands-on involvement.
• Build and support the ComPsych DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering strategy.
• Implement secure CI/CD processes, SAST/DAST/SCA, image and secrets scanning, Infrastructure-as-Code, and policy-as-code guardrails.
• Oversee the cloud foundation, comprising landing zones, a Cloud Center of Excellence, reference architectures, SLOs, observability, resilience, and FinOps.
• Facilitate the safe and scalable enablement of AI/ML, GenAI, and data through platform environments, pipelines, and guardrails.
• Govern responsible and secure AI practices, including acceptable-use policies, model/data governance, defense against insecure AI-generated code, and alignment with AI risk frameworks.
• Manage compliance and audit-readiness, incorporating continuous compliance, control mapping, automated audit evidence, and third-party/open-source risk management.
• Ensure the design of data protection, privacy measures, encryption, key management, least-privilege access, and data residency.
• Lead and expand the function by modernizing legacy infrastructure, building the team, hiring and reskilling talent, establishing standards, and overseeing vendors, tools, and budgets.
• Collaborate with the Lead/Architect, team, Security, GRC, engineers, and executives.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering with leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in delivering developer-facing platform capabilities, such as an internal developer portal, CI/CD, paved roads, and tooling.
• Practical experience with multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools, including Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with containers and secure CI/CD practices.
• Experience in building and supporting DevSecOps practices, emphasizing shift-left security, policy-as-code, secrets management, IAM, and RBAC.
• Knowledge in SRE disciplines, such as SLOs, observability, and incident response.
• Background in FinOps.
• Experience facilitating AI/ML and GenAI at the platform layer.
• Understanding of responsible and secure AI, model and data governance, and safeguards against insecure AI-generated code.
• Familiarity with AI risk frameworks, including NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM Top 10, and ISO 42001.
• Experience with ongoing compliance, control mapping, automated audit evidence, and third-party/open-source risk management.
• Background in regulated environments, including HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• Knowledge of encryption and key management, least-privilege access to PHI/ePHI, privacy-by-design, and multi-region data residency.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS or Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps, or SRE are strongly preferred.
