This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, implement, and manage GCP environments utilizing Compute Engine, GKE, and Cloud Run, which includes Red Hat Linux and Windows virtual machines.
• Create reusable Terraform modules that ensure secure configurations.
• Construct and resolve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Manage IAM roles and policies, including Workload Identity Federation for keyless authentication from external environments.
• Set up and utilize GCP operational tools for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Diagnose issues across infrastructure, networking, GKE, and pipelines.
• Generate architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
• Design and oversee secure Google Cloud Platform architectures for a federal health client.
• Collaborate with system administrators, application teams, and project teams to operate, modernize, and transition cloud applications.
• Establish the technical direction for new workloads.
• Engage in a cloud operations and migration team.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or 10 additional years of relevant professional experience in place of a degree.
• Over 6 years of experience in setting up, configuring, and utilizing GCP operational tools to achieve service levels, performance objectives, and compliance standards.
• More than 3 years of hands-on engineering experience with GCP core services, including advanced troubleshooting across infrastructure, networking, GKE, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience with Compute Engine (Red Hat Linux and Windows), GKE, Cloud Run for hosting Python services, and GCP IAM, including Workload Identity Federation.
• Strong expertise in Terraform, including creating reusable modules, and in CI/CD tools like Cloud Build or GitHub Actions.
• Experience in environments governed by federal frameworks, including creating architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation (Public Trust).
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
