DevOps Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, execute, and enhance the observability strategy utilizing Datadog and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch + Kibana).

• Organize and correlate metrics, logs, and traces for effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Establish and update SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, dashboards, and smart alerts to minimize noise and expedite incident resolution.

• Serve as a technical leader during critical incidents, performing root cause investigations and suggesting preventive measures to avert future occurrences.

• Assist development teams in embracing SRE, DevOps, observability, and reliability best practices.

• Automate operational tasks and workflows using Python.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the platform, fostering improved stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or comparable fields.

• Proficient in using Datadog.

• Experience with log analysis using the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch and Kibana).

• Skilled in correlating metrics, logs, and traces to determine root causes.

• Experienced in mission-critical environments with high availability and high transaction volumes.

• Familiarity with observability practices and application monitoring.

• Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably AWS.

• Understanding of Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Experience with automation using Python.

• Understanding of Java applications during runtime and troubleshooting.

• Experience in defining SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, and fostering an SRE culture will be viewed as advantageous.

• Experience in Multi-Cloud environments will be considered beneficial.

• Advanced operations automation skills will be seen as a plus.

• Knowledge of artificial intelligence applied to observability and operations (AIOps) will be seen as an asset.
