This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Develop and enhance product-platform components and tools utilizing Python and TypeScript.
• Assist in transitioning the application from a monolithic architecture to more modular services.
• Contribute to the design and execution of the next-generation deployment strategy.
• Facilitate the transition of the product from a Debian package-oriented deployment to a containerized model.
• Construct, enhance, and resolve issues in CI/CD pipelines.
• Advance the build and testing infrastructure.
• Simplify and enhance the reliability of local product development.
• Work with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Diagnose issues across application, runtime, container, Linux, and CI/CD boundaries.
• Enhance platform stability, performance, maintainability, and the developer experience.
• Engage in technical discussions and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with engineers throughout the product organization.
• Implement engineering practices related to testing, observability, maintainability, and software quality.
• Contribute to software hardening and secure engineering methodologies.
• At L2, autonomously deliver defined technical tasks from start to finish with minimal technical supervision.
• At L3, work towards broader technical objectives, decompose them into actionable tasks, propose solutions, articulate trade-offs, lead the implementation, and contribute to technical decisions.
• Strong foundation in GNU/Linux.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Practical experience with container technologies.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, or a strong grasp of relevant fundamentals with the capacity to become productive swiftly.
• Proven experience in building, maintaining, or enhancing CI/CD pipelines.
• Software development experience in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Capability to independently manage technical implementations.
• Familiarity with modern software engineering practices, including testing and version control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a remote engineering team.
• EU citizenship or eligibility to work in the EU.
• Bonus: Experience with both Python and TypeScript.
