DevOps Engineer, OpenShift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Administer and scale OpenShift clusters, including capacity planning, upgrades, security, and RBAC.

• Manage deployments using ArgoCD in accordance with GitOps principles.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines for improved efficiency.

• Fortify Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices.

• Implement and optimize observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

• Provide support to project teams utilizing the platform.

• Contribute to the standardization and harmonization of various environments.

• Engage in continuous improvement efforts to boost service reliability.

• Operate a critical production platform based on VMware/ESX, OpenShift, and a GitOps pipeline.

• Serve as an OpenShift technical expert, leading the DevSecOps transformation and acting as a reference for GitOps and automation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive production experience with a strong commitment to DevSecOps principles.

• Proficient in OpenShift or Kubernetes technologies.

• Comfortable working within automated, GitOps-focused environments.

• Solid understanding of production-related concerns such as availability, performance, security, and backup.

• Collaborative mindset, working effectively with Development, Operations, Infrastructure, and Security teams.

• Demonstrated skills in administering OpenShift in production, including upgrades, operator lifecycle management, OLM, and troubleshooting.

• Knowledgeable in RBAC, SCC, namespace management, and quotas.

• Familiar with Routes, certificate management, and NetworkPolicy.

• Experience with managing PV/PVC, StorageClass, and CSI.

• Familiar with ArgoCD, GitOps, Git, and CI/CD tools, particularly GitLab CI or Jenkins.

• Familiar with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Alertmanager, and Thanos.

• Understanding of Linux and Service Mesh, particularly Istio.

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Kafka, APIs, and microservices is a plus.
