DevOps Engineer, Media and Advertising Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and assess automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.

• Manage code deployments across all environments.

• Identify, assess, and implement technologies that facilitate new features or enhance operational efficiency.

• Monitor cloud-based applications along with the associated databases, servers, and networks for availability, capacity, and performance.

• Create design specifications and showcase solutions with comprehensive documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and charts.

• Collaborate with support, operations, and development teams to fulfill SLAs.

• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring production challenges.

• Provide on-call support once a month.

• Support infrastructure that manages several product platforms, web services, intricate data pipelines, and contemporary user interfaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience supporting high-availability, revenue-generating systems on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

• More than 3 years of experience working in modern web-scale environments alongside development and IT teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• 3+ years of experience managing Linux and Windows servers utilizing Bash, PowerShell, etc.

• Experience in building and supporting continuous integration/delivery pipelines, including environment reproduction, deployment, and resource scaling, using tools like Jenkins and CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop.

• Knowledge of PHP, Nginx, and Java.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.

• Capability to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation using software like OpsGenie or PagerDuty.

• Experience with Cassandra, Docker, and ECS is advantageous.

• Background in the broadcast industry is a plus.
