DevOps Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement infrastructure across SRA's product offerings, including VECTR and XDR.

• Manage cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, along with on-premises servers.

• Utilize Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code implementations.

• Collaborate with the Software Development team to establish best practices for operations and infrastructure.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD tools and pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitLab.

• Create and manage build automation and dependency management across various projects and technology stacks.

• Keep abreast of information security and emerging threat trends, tools, and methodologies.

• Document activities in formal reports.

• Present findings to management for client-facing purposes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in operations or DevOps, focusing on cloud or virtualized installations of custom software.

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly with Terraform.

• Daily hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms.

• Proficient in Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitLab, with the ability to thrive in either environment.

• Experience in scripting and programming using Python.

• Familiarity with modern build systems and dependency management tools, such as Moon, Maven, Lage, or similar.

• Knowledgeable in using and administering Linux systems.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Adaptable to fluctuating client and project timelines.

• Willingness to work extended hours to meet project deadlines.

• Capable of working independently and effectively communicating project progress to management.

• Experience in patching production systems and monitoring for security vulnerabilities.

• Familiarity with infrastructure and application observability platforms.

• Experience in setting up and responding to alerts, as well as modifying data ingestion parameters.

• Preference for candidates residing in the Eastern time zone.

• Experience with TypeScript is a plus.

• Ability to lead cross-team infrastructure implementation projects and delegate tasks to junior team members is preferred.
