This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design, develop, and manage resilient infrastructure across Azure and AWS platforms.
• Create reusable cloud infrastructure and deployment frameworks.
• Assist development teams in selecting cloud services based on criteria such as performance, resilience, security, operational complexity, and cost.
• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure using Terraform and native cloud templates.
• Implement version control, automated validation, deployment controls, and policy guardrails.
• Construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Automate build processes, testing, security scanning, artifact management, and deployment tasks.
• Provide support for containerized workloads using Docker, AKS, EKS, ECS, and Azure Container Apps.
• Develop self-service platform capabilities, reusable infrastructure modules, standard hosting patterns, secrets and configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices.
• Enhance monitoring, centralized logging, alerting, availability, and visibility.
• Assist in incident investigations, root-cause analysis, backup and recovery, resilience, and disaster-recovery planning.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure, deployment, and operational tasks.
• Integrate cloud security through IAM, RBAC, workload identities, secrets and certificate management, network segmentation, vulnerability management, logging, and auditability.
• Improve cloud spending visibility, ownership, tagging, budgets, anomaly detection, resource utilization, rightsizing, storage optimization, and forecasting.
• Aid in designing cloud infrastructure for AI-enabled applications, dynamic workloads, event-driven architectures, and high-performance computing.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to enhance cloud delivery and operations.
• Demonstrated experience in building, operating, and troubleshooting workloads across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
• Strong proficiency in declarative Infrastructure as Code, particularly using Terraform.
• Practical scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Proficient in Git and modern source control practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud networking, including VNets/VPCs, routing, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, and private connectivity.
• Knowledge of IAM, RBAC, workload identities, and secure cloud configurations.
• Experience in operating production services, including monitoring, logging, incident investigation, resilience, backup, and recovery.
• Practical understanding of cloud cost drivers, with experience in analyzing, optimizing, and forecasting cloud expenditures.
• Comfortable working within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities across applications, infrastructure, networking, and cloud services.
• Effective communication skills and the capability to collaborate with developers, security engineers, infrastructure teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Azure and/or AWS certifications are a plus.
• FinOps Foundation certification or substantial practical FinOps experience is a plus.
• Kubernetes certification or significant hands-on Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Experience in building internal developer platforms or self-service cloud capabilities is a plus.
• Familiarity with Azure Landing Zones or AWS Control Tower is a plus.
• Experience supporting AI or machine-learning workloads is a plus.
• Experience managing GPU or other high-performance cloud workloads is a plus.
• Experience working in large, distributed, or multi-business environments is a plus.
