DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design, architecture, and oversight of CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and comparable tools.

• Establish test-driven deployment frameworks that incorporate automated testing, validation, and monitoring.

• Containerize applications and microservices using Docker while enhancing image build processes.

• Oversee deployment pipelines across distributed environments.

• Manage the build, packaging, versioning, semantic tagging, and distribution of JavaScript, TypeScript, and C++ packages.

• Create and sustain cross-platform build pipelines using CMake or similar tools for web, desktop, and mobile applications.

• Automate release workflows, including tagging, building, signing, and distributing applications.

• Define and manage Infrastructure as Code to establish reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to resolve deployment challenges and enhance release reliability.

• Enhance observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational feedback loops.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of practical experience in architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools at scale in a production setting.

• Strong expertise in test-driven deployment practices, including the development and maintenance of automated test suites for integration and end-to-end validation.

• Proficient in Docker, encompassing image creation, registry management, and fundamental orchestration patterns.

• Experience in managing JavaScript and TypeScript package lifecycles, covering versioning, compilation, semantic tagging, and NPM publication workflows.

• Extensive knowledge of C++ build systems, particularly CMake, with a proven track record in optimizing native build and deployment pipelines.

• Advanced skills in Linux system administration and networking, including shell scripting, package management, performance troubleshooting, firewalls, and VPN configuration.

• Exceptional English communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, or AWS CloudFormation.

• Experience in automating mobile CI/CD processes for iOS and Android applications.

• Advanced understanding of release management practices, including automated versioning, signing, and artifact distribution.

• Preferred: familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

• Preferred: experience in high-availability, security-sensitive environments, particularly in fintech, blockchain, or distributed systems.

• Preferred: experience in deploying and managing blockchain-based applications.

• Preferred: exposure to AI/ML pipelines utilizing PyTorch or TensorFlow.
