This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Design, develop, and sustain CI/CD pipelines for a .NET-based microservices backend and Shopify Hydrogen storefront.
• Facilitate frequent, low-risk releases across development, staging, and production environments.
• Provision and oversee AWS infrastructure, incorporating compute, networking, messaging, secrets, and security services through infrastructure-as-code.
• Implement and uphold security measures, including WAF/ALB configurations, secrets management, and key management.
• Support OAuth2/OIDC identity providers for both service-to-service and customer-facing authentication.
• Establish and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems across microservices and message-driven workflows.
• Configure and assist asynchronous messaging infrastructure, which includes queues, topics, and dead-letter handling.
• Manage environment configurations, versioning, and release coordination across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Troubleshoot production issues, outline rollback and contingency procedures, and lead post-incident analyses.
• Produce infrastructure and operational documentation, including runbooks.
• Collaborate with backend engineering, QA automation, and the client's internal IT team on environment requirements, deployment timelines, and infrastructure modifications.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with a minimum level of B2 (90%+ proficiency).
• Over 5 years of practical experience in DevOps/infrastructure engineering, including production support for cloud-native applications.
• Strong expertise in AWS services, including compute, networking, SQS/SNS, Secrets Manager, KMS, WAF, and ALB.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for containerized or microservices-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience in supporting .NET/C# application deployments and resolving service-to-service communication issues.
• Solid understanding of OAuth2/OIDC identity and access management principles.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools in a distributed systems context.
• Ability to work autonomously in a multi-vendor, distributed delivery environment across various time zones.
• Experience with e-commerce platform migrations, including Shopify or similar SaaS commerce platforms.
• Knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL data stores in production settings.
• Familiarity with Keycloak or similar identity providers.
• Exposure to CQRS/event-driven architecture patterns.
• Previous consulting or staff augmentation experience in a multi-vendor delivery setting.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
• Proficient in critical technologies such as AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, Docker, .NET/C#, OAuth2/OIDC, and SQS/SNS.
