DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and maintain the software delivery platform along with its various environments.

• Develop and manage solutions on Microsoft Azure, encompassing AKS, App Services, networking, identity, and governance.

• Create, improve, and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Establish and implement strategies for deployment, rollback, and delivery automation.

• Provision and oversee infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Work with containers and Kubernetes, specifically in Azure/AKS environments.

• Implement and refine Backstage, including the developer portal, service catalog, and templates.

• Enhance observability practices that include logs, metrics, tracing, and alerting.

• Manage secrets and sensitive data through Azure Key Vault.

• Integrate DevSecOps practices into development and delivery pipelines.

• Enforce access controls, security scans within pipelines, and audit mechanisms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient experience with Microsoft Azure.

• Practical experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of Azure App Services, networking, identity, and governance.

• Experience with containers and orchestrated environments.

• Background in designing and structuring CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with deployment and rollback strategies.

• Experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.

• Knowledge of observability tools and methodologies, such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog.

• Understanding of Azure Key Vault and secure management of credentials and secrets.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, including security integration into pipelines, access control, and auditing.

• Senior-level expertise and independence in designing and structuring platforms.

• Hands-on experience with Backstage, particularly in implementing a Developer Portal, service catalog, and templates (preferred).

• Previous experience in building or evolving an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) (preferred).

• Microsoft AZ-400 certification (preferred).

• Microsoft AZ-104 certification (preferred).

• Experience in regulated sectors, such as banking, fintech, insurance, or payment institutions (preferred).

• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, microservices, and highly available environments (preferred).

• Experience promoting best practices in Platform Engineering and Developer Experience (DevEx) (preferred).
