DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assess customer needs regarding software components, system uptime, security, and performance.

• Create and document comprehensive cloud hosting architectures, which encompass capacity planning, selection and allocation of instance types, and network design.

• Provide cost estimates for proposed system architectures.

• Develop systems through the installation, configuration, and testing of cloud resources.

• Implement automation and configuration management to guarantee repeatability and traceability of modifications.

• Diagnose issues related to system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.

• Safeguard system integrity and security using controls and monitoring tools.

• Deliver written evaluations and recommendations for continual improvement.

• Ensure system performance through monitoring, analysis, tuning, and planning for future growth.

• Design and execute load and stress testing.

• Record test results, troubleshoot infrastructure challenges, and escalate application issues to the development team.

• Keep internal systems and customer deployment documentation up to date.

• Collaborate with project managers, technical consultants, software architects, and developers to validate infrastructure deliverables and document technical transitions.

• Address support tickets and incidents in accordance with SLA commitments.

• Establish best practices, operational policies, and procedures.

• Create, document, and test disaster recovery protocols.

• Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Brazil.

• No visa sponsorship is available.

• Submit resume in English as a PDF.

• Advanced to fluent English communication skills are essential.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is required.

• Experience with other cloud providers is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Linux and/or Windows systems administration; at least one is mandatory.

• Scripting experience in bash shell and Python is preferred; PowerShell is acceptable.

• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and HTTP protocols is necessary.

• Familiarity with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs is a plus.
