DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain highly scalable, distributed, cloud-based CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions.

• Execute comprehensive DevOps solutions, encompassing build automation, release management, and deployment pipelines within AWS/Azure.

• Convert intricate functional and technical requirements into effective CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure designs.

• Implement deployment strategies such as blue-green, canary, and rolling updates.

• Architect and oversee cloud security, IAM roles, secrets management, and access control measures.

• Provision, migrate, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure and production environments.

• Oversee containerized and orchestrated workloads utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

• Set up monitoring and logging systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or similar solutions.

• Manage build automation, source code, CI/CD, artifact repositories, workflow orchestration, and GitOps methodologies.

• Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and engage in incident management activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, distributed, cloud-based CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions.

• Strong proficiency in implementing end-to-end DevOps solutions, including build automation, release management, and deployment pipelines in AWS/Azure.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

• Basic knowledge of configuration management using Python or Java.

• Experience in translating complex functional and technical requirements into detailed CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure designs.

• Familiarity with blue-green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies.

• Expertise in cloud security, IAM roles, secrets management, and access-control design.

• Profound understanding of Docker and Kubernetes containerization and orchestration.

• Proficiency in using monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including scripting in Python, Bash, or Shell.

• Required experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or npm.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS/Azure compute services, including EC2, ECS, and EKS, as well as storage services like S3, EBS, and EFS.

• Experience with artifact/package repositories such as Nexus, Artifactory, or Amazon ECR.

• Background in troubleshooting and performance tuning across build, deployment, and production environments.

• Familiarity with workflow/orchestration tools like Airflow or similar alternatives.

• Knowledge of application DevOps tools, Git, and CI/CD frameworks; experience with Jenkins or GitLab and source-code management tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeCommit.

• Experience with AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Account Config, and AWS Config Rules.

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure provisioning, migration processes, and project lifecycle management.

• Experience implementing SRE practices and managing incidents.

• Familiarity with service mesh and observability tools such as Istio, Datadog, or New Relic.

• Knowledge of Python programming.

• Experience working in both offshore and onsite engagements.

• Familiarity with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD.

• Experience utilizing AWS Step Functions and Lambda for automation purposes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
