This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Develop scalable, dependable, and effective infrastructure systems.
• Work alongside development, operations, and QA teams to create and implement DevOps methodologies.
• Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code.
• Oversee the platform, which includes configuration, health monitoring, troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and enhancement initiatives.
• Manage and optimize AWS and Nutanix cloud environments for availability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Set up, configure, and monitor AWS clusters.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment processes.
• Automate repetitive tasks and oversee application and infrastructure performance.
• Assist with platform installations, configurations, and health checks.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and other cross-functional Nephos teams to deliver comprehensive system solutions.
• Provide expert advice on scalable, high-performance, and secure system architecture and design.
• Support platform version releases, including testing, use case development, and deployments.
• Manage Incident, Problem, Service Request, and Change records; investigate issues, restore services, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Participate in the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) as necessary.
• Create and update knowledge articles and work instructions.
• Over 5 years of experience in a DevOps or related infrastructure role.
• Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring, and providing support for enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise in Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu and Red Hat, as well as Windows.
• Proficient in scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Exceptional skills in issue analysis, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN networking protocols.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Extensive experience with AWS and Nutanix.
• Experience with service management ticketing systems such as Jira.
• Understanding of GitHub repositories and file-sharing technologies.
• Proficient in Git.
• Knowledge of databases.
• Understanding of ITIL principles.
• Strong customer-focused attitude and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
• Flexible, organized, and self-driven.
• Working hours of 9 AM to 5 PM UK time during onboarding and transition, with flexibility for occasional out-of-hours upgrades, changes, and major incidents.
• Preferred: experience with microservices architecture.
• Preferred: familiarity with serverless computing such as AWS Lambda or Google Functions.
• Preferred: experience in database management with MongoDB, MySQL, or other databases.
• Preferred: knowledge of Git branching strategies, Agile and Scrum methodologies, Delinea, data governance, and experience with certificate application and renewal.
