DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Platform team

• Oversee a combination of cloud and non-cloud services, primarily operating on Kubernetes

• Report directly to the DevOps Lead

• Manage and develop projects along with hybrid infrastructure

• Configure and sustain internal services

• Create and uphold monitoring systems

• Develop and deploy environments

• Lead bare-metal deployment initiatives

• Conduct performance and integration testing

• Enhance the existing infrastructure

• Work in conjunction with software development and QA teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of sustained experience in DevOps or IT system administration

• Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience with Unix/Linux servers, particularly Debian/Ubuntu and RHEL/CentOS

• Solid understanding of standard IT security practices

• Experience in constructing and managing hybrid infrastructures

• Familiarity with CI/CD implementation; experience with GitHub Actions is a plus

• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible and SaltStack

• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies

• Capability to perform root cause analysis for production issues

• Understanding of ISO 27001, SOC 2 standards, and CIS benchmarks

• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases along with clustering

• Expertise in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Policy as Code (PaC)

• Experience with Kubernetes for deploying, testing, and managing clusters

• Strong understanding of Git

• Familiarity with log management tools

• Good scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or similar languages

• Experience with monitoring applications and infrastructure in production settings

• Comprehensive understanding of software development methodologies

• Knowledge and practical experience in advanced networking, including local and global networks, ACLs, firewalls, VPN tunnels, and advanced routing

• Willingness to be on call 24/7 in case of emergencies

• Experience with AWS/GCP is advantageous

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 is a plus
