DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Construct and oversee cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, high availability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Design and execute deployments driven by Infrastructure-as-Code for cloud-native services.

• Facilitate fully automated continuous deployments across Staging, Test, and Production environments.

• Deploy and sustain AWS microservices and serverless applications.

• Develop and uphold CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.

• Manage monitoring and alerting processes while ensuring observability metrics for critical services are maintained.

• Implement strategies for disaster recovery and backup/restore.

• Enhance AWS infrastructure security through the use of WAF, KMS, Secrets Manager, SSL/TLS certificates, IAM, and CloudTrail.

• Contribute to system reliability, which includes providing on-call support.

• Document cloud infrastructure and the related processes.

• May support ML/AI workloads, LLM-based systems, OAuth/OIDC flows, microservices/serverless patterns, and healthcare workloads.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• 3–5 years of combined experience in Software Engineering and DevOps, with at least 2 years focused on maintaining and running cloud-deployed SaaS applications.

• Comprehensive understanding of software engineering concepts, practices, and procedures for product and solution development and deployment at scale.

• Experience with user authentication and authorization technologies, as well as general security practices; familiarity with JWT, OAuth, Open Policy Agent, or IAM Roles.

• Documentation skills related to cloud infrastructure and associated processes.

• Fundamentals of networking and container technology, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficient knowledge of HTTP, DNS, TCP, and IP routing.

• Familiarity with AWS services and best practices, including EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Route 53, and CloudWatch.

• Expertise in at least one Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.

• Experience with Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent credential is mandatory; no substitution for experience is specified.
