DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee AWS cloud infrastructure for Canals’ platform at scale.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines to achieve quicker, safer, and more consistent deployments.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and system configuration utilizing Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

• Create and manage observability systems for logging, monitoring, and alerting purposes.

• Fortify security measures and ensure reliability across various environments.

• Collaborate with backend engineers to enhance application performance and scalability.

• Take ownership of uptime, deployment quality, and operational excellence as the company expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.

• Strong expertise with AWS, including ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.

• Proficient in CI/CD practices, including GitHub Actions and CircleCI.

• Skilled in infrastructure as code, particularly with Terraform and CloudFormation.

• Competent in Docker and container orchestration using ECS or Kubernetes.

• Knowledgeable in monitoring, alerting, and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.

• Experience in securing systems and managing secrets, permissions, and network policies.

• Excellent communication abilities and comfort working remotely in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment.

• Prior experience in high-growth startups or small teams is advantageous.
