DevOps Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution and support of the corporate technology governance framework.

• Develop structured technical decision-making processes, including an Architecture Board, ADRs, and a Tech Radar.

• Create guidelines for the adoption, evolution, and retirement of technologies.

• Align technology strategies with business goals.

• Develop and monitor technical maturity metrics.

• Set architectural standards for frontend, mobile, backend, APIs, messaging, and cloud technologies.

• Generate reference architectures and blueprints for new initiatives.

• Assess emerging technologies and oversee their integration.

• Maintain technical consistency across teams and business units.

• Facilitate crucial architectural decisions in strategic projects.

• Lead the deployment of standardized CI/CD pipelines.

• Implement DevSecOps practices and integrate security automation.

• Establish standards for unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing, along with continuous quality measures.

• Enhance Developer Experience through internal tools, templates, and automation processes.

• Ensure uniform environments and manage infrastructure as code.

• Establish SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, incident management, and post-mortems.

• Act as a technical reference point for architects, tech leads, and senior engineers.

• Cultivate team capabilities and promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and ongoing learning.

• Influence decisions without formal authority, facilitate intricate technical discussions, and resolve conflicts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.

• A minimum of 5 years in senior technical leadership roles.

• Experience in multiple technology domains, various digital products, or complex platforms.

• Demonstrated history of implementing technical governance and organization-wide standards.

• Proficient in microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native technologies.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability, and DevSecOps practices.

• Strong, proven expertise in Java and Python development.

• Knowledge of frameworks such as Spring, JUnit, Jakarta, TensorFlow, and Django.

• Proven experience in designing software architecture within cloud-native settings.

• Demonstrated experience in secure software development practices.

• Experience utilizing code profiling tools for performance evaluation.

• Knowledge of databases and monitoring frameworks.

• Familiarity with Large Language Model (LLM) frameworks and models, including open-source solutions, ChatGPT, and Amazon Bedrock.

• Acquainted with generative AI applications in software development.

• Desirable certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with knowledge of observability, messaging, and mobile development.

• Skills in technical leadership, influencing without formal authority, facilitating technical discussions, conflict resolution, collaboration, and fostering continuous learning.
