DevOps Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution and enforcement of the corporate technology governance framework, adhering to industry best practices.

• Create formal mechanisms for technical decision-making, including an Architecture Board, ADRs, and a Tech Radar.

• Develop guidelines for adopting, evolving, and retiring technologies.

• Ensure that the technology strategy aligns with business goals.

• Generate technical maturity indicators and monitor their advancement.

• Establish architectural standards for frontend, mobile, backend, APIs, messaging, and cloud infrastructures.

• Develop reference architectures (blueprints) to expedite new project initiatives.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and facilitate their sustainable integration.

• Maintain technical consistency across teams and business divisions.

• Provide support for significant architectural choices in strategic projects.

• Oversee the rollout of standardized CI/CD pipelines.

• Implement DevSecOps methodologies and security automation.

• Set standards for unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing, along with continuous quality assurance.

• Improve Developer Experience (DX) through internal tools, templates, and automation processes.

• Ensure uniform environments and infrastructure as code (IaC).

• Introduce SRE practices that encompass SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, incident management, and post-mortem analyses.

• Act as a technical resource for architects, tech leads, and senior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of software engineering with a background in technical leadership.

• Experience collaborating across various technology departments, digital products, or intricate platforms.

• Demonstrated success in implementing technical governance and corporate standards.

• Familiarity with modern architectures, including microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native solutions.

• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability, and DevSecOps practices.

• Knowledge of generative AI in the context of software development.

• Proven skills in Java and Python programming.

• Understanding of Spring, JUnit, Jakarta, TensorFlow, and Django frameworks.

• Knowledge of software architecture, especially cloud-native architecture and secure software development practices.

• Familiarity with code-profiling tools for assessing application performance, database efficiency, and infrastructure monitoring.

• Awareness of leading LLM frameworks and models in the industry, particularly open-source options, ChatGPT, and Bedrock.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is preferred.

• Familiarity with observability tools (New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus) is preferred.

• Experience with messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub) is preferred.

• Background in mobile development (native or hybrid) is preferred.

• Experience with Internal Developer Platforms is preferred.

• Experience managing integrations with SaaS platforms is preferred.

• Industry certifications will be considered an asset.
