Development Manager, SE Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Execute assigned Walk to End Lupus Now events.

• Meet event revenue targets through peer-to-peer fundraising, along with corporate and community collaborations.

• Organize, execute, and conduct post-event engagement for participants.

• Recruit, oversee, and assist volunteer committees to achieve event objectives.

• Maintain precise records in the database.

• Provide support to constituents regarding fundraising software tools.

• Build relationships with local volunteers, sponsors, and fundraising contributors.

• Facilitate education and support services provided by LFA, including Lupus & You educational programs.

• Acquire knowledge about lupus health issues, services, and essential mission initiatives.

• Embed the Foundation's mission in all fundraising endeavors.

• Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in executing special events, sponsorship sales, volunteer engagement, and committee development activities.

• Demonstrated success in surpassing fundraising targets.

• Experience in leading volunteers and volunteer committees.

• Ability to forge strong, collaborative relationships and work effectively with diverse personalities and leadership styles.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure while handling multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, donor tracking database systems, and fundraising software.

• Availability for weekend and evening work.

• Capability to lift over 35 pounds.

• Willingness to travel 25-30% of the time, mainly within the region.

• Bachelor's Degree.

• A dedicated home office or workspace with reliable internet access.

• Ability to engage with individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds.

• Must pass a background check.
