This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Oversee individual donor fundraising initiatives for Faith in Place, emphasizing major contributions, annual campaigns, and planned giving efforts.
• Nurture relationships with the organization's individual, corporate, and house-of-worship supporters.
• Achieve annual revenue targets for Individuals, AES Corporations, AES Individuals, and AES Houses of Worship budget categories.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and manage relationships with individual donors, particularly focusing on major contributors.
• Plan, lead, and execute the spring appeal, AES Summit sponsorship campaign, and year-end fundraising initiatives.
• Establish donor appreciation processes and suggest enhancements to increase promptness and personalization.
• Organize, design, and execute events, communications, and stewardship opportunities for the Sustainers Circle donor group.
• Research and propose strategies to systematize and expand planned giving, encompassing monthly sustaining donations and legacy contributions.
• Engage in Fundraising Committee meetings and provide data along with donor insights to shape strategy.
• Supervise 1-2 direct reports, depending on organizational requirements and budget considerations.
• Report directly to the Development Director and collaborate with the Fundraising Committee and colleagues on the development team.
• Dedicate a portion of work hours to the Faith in Place Action Fund, focusing on raising membership and advocating for environmental justice.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in fundraising or development, or an equivalent mix of education and work experience.
• A strong passion for faith-based environmental justice, complemented by a solid work ethic and a positive demeanor.
• Proven experience in cultivating, soliciting, and managing relationships with individual donors, particularly major gifts.
• Familiarity with planning and executing fundraising campaigns, such as annual appeals, year-end efforts, and event sponsorships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to craft donor-facing messages.
• Proficient in donor CRM software, with a preference for EveryAction.
• Capable of managing multiple campaigns and relationships while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for donor events and fundraising activities.
• Must reside in Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin.
• Experience in building or enhancing a planned giving program, including legacy gifts and monthly sustainer initiatives (preferred).
• Previous experience in supervising or mentoring staff (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Knowledge of multifaith or interfaith community engagement (preferred).
