Development Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical design and digital execution of civil engineering initiatives.

• Develop and evaluate survey specifications, encompassing utilities and topographical surveys.

• Review and coordinate studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for development projects that include drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, and flood risk management.

• Engage with regulatory authorities and key stakeholders to obtain approvals and ensure adherence to regulations.

• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals.

• Participate in project meetings and convey technical solutions effectively.

• Support multidisciplinary infrastructure projects from initial scoping and feasibility stages through planning, detailed design, and construction phases.

• Collaborate with AECOM design teams throughout the UK and Ireland on infrastructure projects.

• Offer civil engineering design assistance to structural engineering colleagues across various sectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BEng) and/or Master's degree (MEng).

• Relevant experience, preferably in a consultancy setting, focusing on highways and drainage design for residential, commercial, and broader infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Experience collaborating with developer clients and contractors.

• A demonstrated history of successfully delivering infrastructure projects.

• Familiarity with ArcGIS is advantageous but not required.

• An interest in integrated AI solutions.

• Progress towards Incorporated or Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), or membership in CIWEM or CIHT is preferred.
