This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Deliver comprehensive operational support for designated UK events, including coordination with venues, partners, and suppliers.
• Gather quotes and manage travel and logistics arrangements.
• Collaborate with production teams to prepare necessary event materials.
• Create risk assessments and event documentation, which encompass briefs, schedules, and post-event evaluations.
• Represent WBR UK at events, serving as the Event Day Lead.
• Recruit and oversee event volunteers, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
• Draft communications and materials that support advocacy and partnership initiatives.
• Maintain a database of UK journalists, agencies, and pertinent organizations.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with UK organizations and individuals involved in influencing and advocacy, including funding partners.
• Facilitate collaboration, events, and opportunities for external engagement.
• Conduct market and stakeholder analysis related to influencing and fundraising.
• Identify trends, organizations, networks, events, and opportunities that inform UK activities.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, trackers, and dashboards for the events portfolio utilizing the CRM.
• Ensure the maintenance of high-quality data management.
• Oversee and follow up on communications channels, including inboxes, voicemails, incoming mail, and packages.
• 1 to 3 years of applicable experience.
• Proven experience in coordinating and executing events, preferably involving external stakeholders, senior audiences, or high-profile partners.
• Background in communications, events, partnerships, or advocacy/influencing activities.
• Demonstrated experience in building and nurturing relationships with external stakeholders and partners.
• Proven ability to identify and develop opportunities for collaboration, events, and external engagement.
• Experience in conducting research and market or sector analysis.
• Skilled in producing or coordinating high-quality communications and engagement materials.
• Strong project management skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
• Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Experience working with senior colleagues and external stakeholders, including the preparation of briefings, agendas, background information, and follow-up communications.
• Ability to represent the organization externally and communicate its purpose, evidence, and impact in a clear and compelling manner.
• Preferred: Experience in the charity, international development, sustainability, or a similar sector.
• Preferred: Experience with high-profile events, senior audiences, advocacy organizations, funders, or external partners.
• Preferred: Experience in developing and maintaining networks of contacts, leveraging relationships to create opportunities and amplify organizational messages.
