Development Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Schedule meetings with key donors from designated donor and prospect lists

• Primarily conduct outreach via phone, followed by text and email communication

• Thoroughly document all outreach efforts and donor interactions in CRM systems

• Research potential donor prospects to identify individuals with high-capacity

• Prepare and submit donor research reports to the Donor Relations team

• Make thank-you calls to acknowledge recent contributions

• Conduct discovery calls with new YAL donors

• Directly solicit donations from provided donor lists

• Complete assigned reading materials and training resources

• Actively participate in training sessions, take comprehensive notes, and implement feedback

• Report directly to the Director of Donor Advancement and collaborate closely with the Donor Relations team

• Assist in major donor fundraising efforts for YAL and the Young Americans for Liberty Foundation

• Strong organizational abilities to accurately and consistently track calls, emails, texts, and notes

• Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with new contacts over the phone

• Alignment with YAL’s mission and a genuine belief in individual liberty principles

• Detail-oriented with the capability to conduct basic research and summarize findings effectively

• Professional, respectful, and tactful in all forms of communication

• Proficient in using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and willing to learn CRM systems and outreach tools

• Able to manage assigned outreach lists and independently follow through on tasks

• Coachable, growth-oriented, and eager to acquire new skills in fundraising and donor communication

• Available to work 20 hours per week for a six-month temporary period

• Submission of a cover letter and resume is required
